The Hobnox online music software interface

Posted in Music Production,Things we like by White Zone @ Jan 31, 2010

Here is something nice to play around with – the Hobnox online music software interface. As I like the idea of organizing tones in a grid like the Monome I prefer to start with the ToneMatrix setup. The ToneMatrix synthesizer can also be found separatly on Andre Michelles blog besides lots of other great things worth to check out. You can record up to five minutes of total lenght but be careful this is a wonderful time-waster…

Tank FX – the most genuine reverb you can get?

Posted in Music Production,Things we like by White Zone @ Aug 16, 2009

Yes, I would say so and I am deeply thrilled because this is so awesome. I knew about this side for a couple of weeks but had to wait until their service was up again and running, now here you have it: the most genuine reverb you can get for free! As written on the Tank-FX Webpage the reverb is a non-virtual effect device, it is generated by a huge [11 meter/36 feet] tank built in 1932 and made of ferroconcrete standing at the central station in Oberhausen/Germany.

You can upload an audio file with a max. lenght of 60 seconds, choose your output format (mp3, ogg, flac) and mix the dry/wet ratio.

These two guys are going to drive all the long way down from the United Kingdom to Mongolia in their yellow car!

And beside the unforgetable visual impressions on their way they are going to have lots of acoustic impressions too. Schallwellenmagie will support this adventure with two special mixes and a donation for the kids in Mongolia.

Curious about what we are talking about?
