There are no details known but it looks like the Reactoscope is related to the Reactable…

Georg Reil and Kathy Scheuring, both students at the University of Applied Sciences in Würzburg-Schweinfurt, have created a fine collection of curious sound object  where six everyday objects become exceptional, magical instruments with unusual abilities.

I am always looking for new and fresh midi controllers for music production and I stumbled on the Haken Continuum Fingerboard which is quite outstanding in my opinion.
This controller is so sensitive to play using a sort of touchpad, you won´t believe your eyes and ears.

Defacto Sound

Is this thing really looking new-fashioned? Hmm…well this is the first midi controller that I have seen in my life that looks like a prothesis: the motion capture midi controller from SONALOG.

This little contraption can be ordered now via the Sonalog Shop starting at 480,00 £ for one arm only.
However seems like it is working pretty well, here a video to get an idea how it looks in action.

Christian Bannister’s amazing Multi-Touch Interactive Sound Visuals called Touch Loop Navigator. It looks like an combination of VJing & DJing with an interface that has something to offer for the eye of the performer and the audience too. This is definite a taste of the future:

So, das war sie, die  Cologne Commons. Was hat sie mir gebracht?

Nun vieles wußte ich bereits. So habe ich mich auch häufig bestätigt gefühlt mit dem was wir unter SCHALLWELLENMAGIE machen. Dennoch war es sehr interessant, der Vortrag von Dietrich Pflüger
“Von der Tonträgerindustrie zur Multi Content Wirtschaft – die Folgen der digitalen Revolution” war grandios. Zeigte sein Vortrag doch u.a. sehr deutlich auf, wie sich die Medienindustrie im Laufe der letzten Jahrhunderte immer wieder erfolglos gegen Veränderungen gewehrt hat.
